Funding Process
Funding can be acquired through the Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI). The CDHCI is an Alberta Health Services (AHS) program that gives clients the autonomy to choose a homecare provider agency that is registered with the Alberta Blue Cross. This agency can provide services up to a maximum of pre-approved hours per month as authorized by AHS. The home care agency takes responsibility for all administrative and financial paperwork involved in the provision of services. This alleviates the stress on clients and families and gives them access to care in areas limited to AHS services. Furthermore, it can provide temporary care for needs, for example, post-hospital care.
